Helping Others

Get involved in service for others through St. John’s many
mission ministries. Whether you need hours for your community service at school or you are just interested in a particular area of service, come and see!
In the summer, St. John’s teens go on mission trips outside of the Houston area to serve others in need. For example, they recently traveled to San Antonio, repairing houses for elderly homeowners.
Past trips have included church repair in Guatemala, house construction in Mexico  and home repair in Pensacola Florida with the Rebuild Northwest Florida Project.

Worship Leadership

Teens sing in our chancel choir and ring bells in our handbell choirs. Teens are invited to usher, serve as liturgists, and lead the children’s sermon. Several times a year, PYF plans and leads the 10:30 am worship service.

Sunday School

High School and Middle School classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00. During the summer, teens are included in special class offerings and also attend and help at Vacation Bible School.

St. John’s sponsors Girl Scouts (Troop 21174, Delta Sky Service Unit, and Troop 21151) and Boy Scouts (Pack 8 and Troop 688). They meet in the Scout Room, Building One.
