Mission to Pensacola, FL!

In June 2006, 9 St. John's members went to Pensacola, FL to help in the ongoing work to restore houses affected by the 2004 hurricane Ivan. We worked through Rebuild Northwest Florida and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance which have stepped up to assist those who have no where else to turn.

The group worked on one house, tearing out water-damaged drywall and wallpaper and replacing with new wallboard and a fresh coat of paint. The week went by fast, but we made a big difference. Our goal was to show the love of Christ in the giving of our time and efforts.
